When their Toyota Tundra was stolen from their home on a recent Friday night, the Whittier, CA residents in this case were grateful for the LoJack® system that was installed when their truck was purchased. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered their pickup quickly and safely.

On March 7th, 2014, the Toyota’s owners contacted the Whittier Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Tundra.

A short while later, officers from the Whittier PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Toyota parked in front of an open garage inside an apartment complex.  Witnesses identified the driver who was located and arrested. The Tundra was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owners.
