This case involves a Cadillac Escalade discovered missing from its owner’s Santa Ana, CA home on a recent Wednesday morning. Thanks to the LoJack® system installed in the SUV, local law enforcement recovered it that same day.

On March 12th, 2014, the Cadillac’s owner contacted the Santa Ana Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Escalade.

Just a few minutes later, officers from the Santa Ana PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Cadillac in the area of 6th and Western in Santa Ana. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver attempted to run off, but was soon taken into custody.  The Escalade was retrieved and soon returned to its happy owner.
