On a recent Tuesday, the Los Angeles, CA residents in this case discovered their Volvo S80 was missing. Thanks to the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased, local law enforcement where able to recover it quickly, safely, and without damage, later that same day.

On March 11th, 2014, the Volvo’s owner contacted local police to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the S80, which was installed at Westside Volvo in Culver City, CA.

A short while later, officers in the southwest section of the city picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Volvo traveling in the area of Crenshaw Blvd and Slauson Ave. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver taken into custody. The undamaged S80 was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owner.
