The North Hollywood, CA residents in this case had their 2013 Ford Focus stolen right around lunchtime on a recent Monday. It took local police- with help from the LoJack® system installed in the vehicle- just 20 minutes after activation to recover it.

On February 14th, 2014, the Ford’s owners contacted their local police to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Focus, which was installed at Galpin Ford in North Hills, CA.

Minutes later, patrol officers picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers that are installed in their police vehicles. The officers located the Ford parked and abandoned on Lankershim Blvd. The Focus was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owners.
