On a recent Saturday afternoon, a San Diego, CA resident discovered her Honda Accord missing. She immediately contacted her local police so they could activate the LoJack® system hidden in her vehicle. Local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, not only located the Accord in less than an hour after activation, but arrested a suspect as well.

On February 1st, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Autoland in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Within a few minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Honda traveling on Bancroft Street in San Diego.  A traffic stop was performed and one person was arrested. The Accord was undamaged and quickly returned to its very happy owner.
