The owners of a Jaguar S-Type went for dinner at a restaurant in Houston, TX. While they were enjoying their meal, someone swiped their keys. When they exited the restaurant, their car was missing from the parking lot. The LoJack® system that was installed when the Jag was purchased helped save the day. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the S-Type later that same evening.

On February 28th, 2014, the owners of the Jaguar contacted the Houston Police Department and reported the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the S-Type, which was installed at Galpin Jaguar-Lincoln-Volvo in Van Nuys, CA.

A short while later, officers from the Pasadena, TX Police picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Jaguar in an apartment complex lot, where it was parked and abandoned. After a brief surveillance, the S-Type was retrieved and soon returned to its very grateful owner.
