The LoJack® system is the ONLY Stolen Vehicle Recovery System operated by police. We are very proud of our long, successful affiliation with law enforcement, and nothing makes us prouder than when a member of law enforcement, who knows how our product works better than anyone, chooses to purchase LoJack for their own personal car, truck, van or motorcycle. In this case, a police officer in California has his Audi A7 stolen, and thanks to his local police assisted by LoJack, his car was recovered in less than a half hour after activation.

On January 6th, 2014, the Audi’s owner contacted the Grass Valley Police to report that his car was stolen from a gym parking lot while he was working out. The vehicle information was entered into the California Stolen Vehicle System as well as the NCIC national system. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the A7, which was installed at Niello Audi in Sacramento, CA.

Less than 30 minutes later, officers with the California Highway Patrol and the Delta RATT Auto Theft Task Force began to receive the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Audi parked and unoccupied at a gas station near Highway 99 and Kettleman Road. After a very brief surveillance, a suspect entered the vehicle and was taken into custody. The Audi, valued at $81,000, was soon returned to its thankful owner.
