In this case, local police, assisted by the LoJack® system, make a victim of vehicle theft feel a whole lot better by recovering his stolen Honda Civic DX in just 17 minutes after activation.

On December 11th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Fresno Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Civic DX, which was installed at Norm Reeves Honda in Covina, CA.

Just a few minutes later, a Fresno PD officer picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car. The officer tracked the Honda to a residential area near Van Ness and Divisadero Avenues, where they found it parked and unoccupied. The owner was delighted to have their undamaged Civic returned to him in such a short time.
