It was very early one Monday morning when the owners of a BMW 321 discovered their vehicle missing in Ventura, CA. The LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased helped local law enforcement recover it in just over one hour after activation.

On December 16th, 2013, the BMW’s contacted the Ventura Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the 321, which was installed at Assael BMW in Monrovia, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, officers from the Ventura PD picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol units. The officers tracked the BMW to Henderson Road, where it was found parked with four people inside. One suspect was booked, and the 321 was soon returned to its thankful owners.
