The goal of the LoJack® system is to help police recover stolen cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles quickly and safely. The Scion TC in this case was discovered missing on a Monday afternoon in Anaheim, CA, and recovered by local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system, in just 99 minutes after activation.

On December 16th, 2013, the Scion’s owners contacted the Anaheim Police to report their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the TC, which was installed at North County Toyota in Anaheim, CA.

A short while later, officers with the Anaheim PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to an alley off Dresden St. in Anaheim.  After a brief surveillance, a female entered the vehicle and began to drive out of the alley.  She was stopped and taken into custody. The Scion was recovered and soon returned to its relieved owners.
