This case involves a Honda Civic EX stolen in Corona, CA. Thanks to assistance from the LoJack® system, local police were able to recover the car without damage and capture two suspects who were in possession of items stolen from another auto theft incident, all in just eight minutes after activation.

On November 20th, 2013, the Honda’s owners contacted the Corona Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. Officers PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Civic, which was installed at World Honda in Downey, CA, was then automatically activated.

Just a few minutes later, officers from the Corona PD picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officer located the stolen Honda traveling near West Francis Street and Merrill Street. After a brief pursuit and traffic stop, two male suspects in the vehicle were taken into custody. During a search, identification and credit cards belonging to another victim were recovered along with $500 in cash. The Civic’s owners were extremely happy to have their undamaged car returned to them. This is the second time that this vehicle was stolen and recovered by LoJack.
