When a motel guest in Rancho Cordova, CA, discovered his Lexus had been stolen from the parking lot, he must have felt relieved for having chosen to have the LoJack® system installed when buying his car. LoJack proved its value by assisting local law enforcement in retrieving the ES 330 in less than ten minutes after activation.

On December 2nd, 2013, the owner of the Lexus contacted the California Highway Patrol. Troopers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the California Stolen Vehicle System as well as the NCIC national system. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the ES 330, which was installed at Lexus of Pleasanton, CA.

Just a few minutes later, officers with the Sacramento Police and Sheriff’s Department both began to receive the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Lexus was spotted being driven in the vicinity of Ethan and Arden Streets. A traffic stop was conducted and two suspects were taken into custody. The ES 330 was soon returned to its thankful owner.
