The LoJack® System Helps Tulare County, California TRATT Recover Stolen 2012 Honda Civic in Six Minutes

The LoJack® system helps law enforcement recover your stolen car, truck, van or motorcycle quickly and safely, whether the thief is a complete stranger, or someone you know well. In this case, a Visalia, CA resident had her 2012 Honda Civic taken by an acquaintance, but not for long, as her local police, with help from LoJack, took only six minutes after activation to recover it.

On November 20th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Visalia Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Visalia Honda GMC in Visalia, CA, was then automatically activated.

Just a few minutes later, investigators from the Tulare County Reduce Auto Theft Task Force (TRATT) picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their undercover police vehicles. The investigators tracked the Honda to a residential area in Visalia, where it was parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Civic was soon returned to its thankful owner.
