When a 2012 Honda Civic was stolen in Los Angeles, CA, just before noon on a recent Thursday, the owner found out that her LoJack® system is never ‘out to lunch’. Her local law enforcement, with the help of LoJack, recovered her vehicle in less than an hour after activation.

On November 21st, 2013, the Civic’s owners contacted police to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Honda of Hollywood, CA.

A short while later, local police officers picked up homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Honda to an area within a few blocks from where it was reported stolen.  It was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged Civic was soon returned to its thankful owner.
