It turned out to be a tougher than usual Monday morning for this San Jose, CA resident when he discovered his Honda Civic was missing from his residence. However, this victim’s stress didn’t last for long thanks to his local police and the LoJack® system- they teamed up to recovered his Civic in just over 90 minutes after activation.

On November 11th, 2013, the Honda’s owner of a 1999 Honda Civic contacted  San Jose Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Larry Hopkins Honda in Sunnyvale, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, San Jose PD officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the signal to west San Jose where they found the Honda parked and abandoned on a side street.  The Accord’s owner was thrilled to have his undamaged vehicle back in his possession in such a short time.
