In this case, a Cadillac Escalade is stolen on a Saturday night in Los Angeles, CA, and recovered in a little over three hours thanks to local law enforcement and the help of the LoJack® system.

On November 2nd, 2013, the Cadillac’s owners contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department- Cerritos Station to report the crime. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Escalade.

Only three hours and four minutes later, officers with the Brea Police Department picked up homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the Cadillac traveling in La Habra.  With an assist from LaHabra PD, the Brea officers performed a traffic stop and arrested two occupants. The recovered Escapade was soon returned to its relieved owner.
