The owner of a 2010 Subaru Outback was dismayed when her vehicle was stolen from her friend’s driveway in Van Nuys, CA. Our victim was happy to discover that the LoJack® system she had installed when she bought her car in Colorado works in every area of the USA covered by LoJack, so local police were able to recover her station wagon in just 12 minutes after activation.

On October 21st, 2013, the Subaru’s owner contacted police in Van Nuys, CA, to report that her vehicle was stolen from the driveway of the residence where she was staying. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Outback, which was installed at Groove Subaru in Englewood, CO, was then automatically activated.

Just a few minutes later, local patrol officers picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol units. The officers located the Subaru, unoccupied and parked on the street in front of a motel. The Outback, valued at $20,075, was soon returned to its grateful owner.
