What can you do in 14 minutes? You can wait in line for coffee. You can fold some laundry. You can take a fairly long shower. Or, if you work for the
Ventura, CA police and the Ventura Sheriff’s Department, you can recover a stolen Nissan Frontier with the help of the LoJack® system.

On October 16th, 2013, the Nissan’s owners contacted the Ventura Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Frontier, which was installed at Metro Nissan in Montclair, CA.

A short time later, patrol officers from the Ventura PD and deputies from the Ventura Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signal from the stolen truck on their LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Nissan parked at a local store. As officers watched, a female entered the vehicle and drove away. After a short pursuit, the truck was stopped and the female was taken into custody. The Frontier was soon returned to its relieved owner.
