There’s nothing like a hearty breakfast to start your day off right. Exiting the restaurant after eating and finding your vehicle gone can quickly turn that full feeling into indigestion. The diner/victim in this case protected her 2009 Subaru Outback with the LoJack® system, enabling local law enforcement to recover it in just over an hour after activation, making the rest of her day calmer and hopefully stomach-ache-free.

On October 19th, 2013, the Subaru’s owner contacted Santa Rosa Police. Officers verified the crime and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Outback, which was installed at Singh Subaru in Riverside, CA.

A short while later, Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies found the Subaru moving in traffic in downtown Santa Rosa. They stopped the vehicle and took the driver into custody. The Outback’s owner was relieved to get her undamaged Outback returned to her.
