The LoJack® system is well known for helping police recover stolen vehicles fast- sometimes incredibly fast. A Sacramento, CA resident found this out when his Acura TSX was missing, and his local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered the car in just 14 minutes after activation.

On October 21st, 2013, the Acura’s owner reported the theft to the California Highway Patrol, South Sacramento office. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the California Stolen Vehicle System and the NCIC national system. The LoJack device concealed in the TSX, which was installed at Acura of Mission Viejo, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Sacramento Police helicopter began to receive the homing signal from the stolen Acura on its onboard LoJack tracking computer. The flight crew requested ground unit backup. Deputies with the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department responded and located the vehicle parked and abandoned near Gerber and Country Field streets. The TSX was soon returned to its very grateful owner.
