The LoJack® System Helps Fresno Police Recover Stolen Honda Accord in 14 Minutes

Worrying about your stolen vehicle is not the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It’s a good thing that the Fresno, CA resident in this case had the LoJack® system installed in his Honda Accord, because his local police, aided by LoJack, recovered his car in just 14 minutes after activation.

On October 19th, 2013, the Honda’s owner cord contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen from his apartment complex. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Power Honda in Costa Mesa, CA, was then immediately activated.

A very short time later, an officer from the Fresno PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in her patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the Honda to a residential area in southeast Fresno, where she found it parked on the side of the road, unoccupied and abandoned, near an apartment complex. The undamaged Accord was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
