There’s no place like home….to have your vehicle stolen. The Fresno, CA resident in this case had her 2009 Honda Civic taken from in front of her apartment. What the victim knew (and the thief didn’t) was that her car was protected with the LoJack® system, and, with LoJack’s help, police were able to recover the Civic in only seven minutes after activation.

On October 5th, 2013, the owner of a 2009 Honda Civic contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that her vehicle had been stolen from in front of her apartment. The Fresno Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the now stolen Honda, which was installed at Honda North in Clovis, CA

Just a few minutes later, an officer from the Fresno PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the vehicle to northeast Fresno, where he found it unoccupied and abandoned in a residential alley. The undamaged Civic was soon returned to its grateful owner.
