This San Diego, CA resident’s weekend started off badly when he awoke Saturday morning to find his 2009 Honda Pilot missing from his driveway. His local police, assisted by the LoJack®, made his stress short-lived by recovering his SUV in less than two hours after activation.

On October 5th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Pilot, which was installed at Honda of Mission Valley in San Diego, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from San Diego PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to a residential area on Altadena Street, where it was parked and abandoned. The Pilot, valued at $23,600, was soon returned to its very happy owner.
