Chula Vista, California Police Recover Stolen Honda Element EX in One Hour, 22 Minutes, Assisted by the LoJack® System

It was a Tuesday morning like any other for this Chula Vista, CA resident- until he exited his home to find his Honda Element EX missing from his driveway. The LoJack® system he had installed when purchasing his SUV proved its worth by helping local police recover the vehicle in less than 90 minutes after activation.
On September 8th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Chula Vista Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Ball Automotive in National City, CA.
A short time later, officers from the Chula Vista PD picked homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the EX to a residential area in Chula Vista where it was found parked and abandoned. The owner was very happy when Chula Vista police returned his undamaged Element to him.
