An Acura Integra was stolen in Chula Vista, CA, right after dinner one Sunday evening. The LoJack® system installed in the car assisted local law enforcement in recovering it in only three and a half hours after activation.

On September 22nd, 2013, the Acura’s owner contacted the Chula Vista Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Integra, which was installed at Mossy Nissan in National City, CA.

A short while later, officers from San Diego PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Acura to a driveway in a residential area in San Diego. A male suspect was observed approaching the vehicle. He attempted to escape when he saw the officers but was quickly taken into custody. The owner was very happy when his Integra was returned to him without damage.
