It was around dinner time on a Sunday evening when this Henderson, Nevada resident noticed his Cadillac Escalade was missing. It’s a good thing that he had the LoJack® system installed in his SUV, so police were able to locate his vehicle 600 miles away from home.

The victim contacted the Henderson Police on September 22nd, 2013, and reported his Cadillac had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the local police computer and the NCIC national vehicle theft data base. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the SUV, which was installed at Cadillac West in Las Vegas, NV.

A short while later, officers with the Stockton, CA Police and the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Department both began to receive the homing signal from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicles. They tracked the Cadillac to a private home in a residential area. The SUV was inside the garage at the home. Police recovered the Escalade and soon returned it to its grateful owner.
