This Santee, CA resident discovered her Lexus RX3 was missing very early one Wednesday morning. The LoJack® system she had installed in her car when she bought it came in handy- local police, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover her vehicle in less than two hours after activation.

On September 11th, 2013, the owner of the Lexus contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the RX3, which was installed at Pacific Honda in San Diego, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, deputies from SDCSD picked up homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies tracked the Lexus to a commercial parking lot on Willow Road in Santee, where it was parked and abandoned. The owner was very happy to have her undamaged RX3 recovered so fast and returned to her.
