A Toyota Camry was stolen on a Monday afternoon in El Cajon, CA and recovered that same day, thanks to local law enforcement assisted by the LoJack® system.

On June 17th, 2013, the Toyota’s owner contacted the El Cajon Police to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Quality Toyota in Corona, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the El Cajon PD picked up the homing signals from the Toyota on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to Magnolia Street in El Cajon, where it was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged Camry was soon returned to its very happy owner.
