This Oceanside, CA resident was shocked to find his Mini Cooper missing from his residence late one Saturday evening. Local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system, was able to recover his car in a little over two hours, enabling him to enjoy the rest of his weekend.

On August 3rd, 2013, the Mini’s owner contacted the Oceanside Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Mini Cooper, which was installed at Crevier Motors in Santa Ana, CA.

A short while later, officers from the Airport division picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Mini to an airport parking lot on Blanca Avenue in LA. The owner was very happy when his vehicle was recovered so fast.
