How do you know that you made the right decision in purchasing the LoJack® system to protect your car, truck, motorcycle or van? Most people would say it’s when your vehicle is stolen and recovered by police assisted by LoJack. If that is true, the Honda Accord owners in this case are doubly sure their purchase was worth the money, since this incident is the second time in two years their car was stolen and recovered by law enforcement and LoJack.

On July 13th, 2013, the Honda’s owners contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Accord was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an investigator from Fresno HEAT, the Fresno County Auto Theft Task Force, picked up the homing signals from the Honda with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his undercover vehicle. The investigator tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex in central Fresno. The moving car was stopped and the driver and passenger arrested. The Accord’s owners were thrilled to get their undamaged vehicle back in such a short time.
