The LoJack® System Helps Simi Valley, CA Police Recover Stolen Ford Flex

The Simi Valley, CA resident in this case noticed her Ford Flex missing from her driveway, very early on a Wednesday morning. Even though she had a good idea who had taken it, it was still taken without permission, and her local police using the LoJack® system were able to track in down for her in just a few hours.
The Ford’s owner contacted Simi Valley Police on August 7th, 2013 to report her vehicle was stolen. Simi Valley PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Flex, which was installed at Wondries Ford in Alhambra, CA.
A short time later, Simi Valley PD officers picked up the homing signal from the Ford on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The car was tracked to the victim’s residence. The police arrived there and took the suspect into custody without incident, and the Flex was released to its relieved owner.
