This resident of San Bernardino, CA had his Buick Le Sabre taken from his residence just after dinner time one Monday night. The LoJack® system installed in his car helped local police recover it in a little over two hours, making sure he got a good night’s sleep.

On June 24th, 2013, the Buick’s owner contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Buick, which was installed at Enterprise Car Sales in Van Nuys, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, deputies from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals from the Le Sabre on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies tracked the vehicle to the rear backyard of a residence on Rancherias Road in Apple Valley. The suspect at the residence, who was also on probation for Grand Theft, was taken into custody, and the Buick was soon returned to its very happy owner.
