In this case, a stolen Dodge R-15 pickup is recovered by police, with the help of the LoJack® system, in only seven minutes after activation.

On July 10th, 2013, the R-15’s owners contacted the Los Angeles County, CA Sheriff’s Department-Santa Clarita Station to report that their vehicle was stolen. Detectives verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Dodge, which was installed at Valencia Dodge in Valencia, CA.

A few minutes later, patrol deputies from LASD-Santa Clarita picked up the homing signal from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They tracked the Dodge traveling in the area of Seco Canyon Road and Bouquet Canyon Road, and requested backup. The deputies stopped the vehicle and took the driver and two passengers into custody. The R-15 pickup was soon returned to its grateful owners.
