Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Police Recover Stolen Subaru Outback Assisted by the LoJack® System in 30 Minutes

In this case, a Philadelphia, PA resident contacted local law enforcement because of a missing Subaru Outback. The car was not missing for long since the police, with the help of the LoJack® system, recovered it in just a half hour.

On July 10th, 2013, the Subaru’s owner contacted Philadelphia Police. The assigned officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the Philadelphia Police Computer System and  the, this entry was forwarded to the Philadelphia Crime Information center and ultimately the Pennsylvania State Police Computer, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the station wagon, which was installed at Wilkie Chevrolet Buick Subaru in Philadelphia, PA.

A short while later, officers from the Philadelphia Police 26th District picked up the homing signal from the Subaru on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They tracked the signal to North 9th Street, where they found the station wagon parked and unoccupied. The Subaru was soon returned to its happy owner.
