Early one Sunday morning, the owners of a BMW 330C noticed their vehicle missing. Local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system, tracked their undamaged car down in just a few hours after activation.

On June 26th, 2013, the BMW’s owners contacted the Kern County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. KCSD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the 330C, which was installed at Assael BMW in Los Angeles, CA.

A short while later, a KCSD deputy picked up the homing signals from the 330C with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The deputy tracked the vehicle to a residential area in east Bakersfield, where he located the vehicle parked and unoccupied at a residence. Two suspects were contacted at the residence and ultimately arrested. The BMW was undamaged and soon returned to its relieved owners.
