San Diego, California Police Recover Stolen Ford Mustang Assisted by the LoJack® System

This El Cajon, CA resident must be especially thrilled that he chose to have the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his Ford Mustang, since this incident is the THIRD time his vehicle has been stolen and then retrieved by his local law enforcement, with help from LoJack.

On July 7th, 2013, the Ford’s owner contacted El Cajon Police to report that his vehicle was stolen.  Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Ford, which was installed at Bob Baker Ford in San Diego, CA.

A short time later, San Diego PD officers picked up the homing signals from the Mustang on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the vehicle to a residential neighborhood, where it was found parked and abandoned. The car was soon returned to its very happy owner.
