The California resident who owns the Acura Integra featured in our next case knows what a great investment the LoJack® system is- because it’s the SECOND TIME his car has been stolen and recovered by local law enforcement assisted by LoJack. In this most recent incident, his Integra was recovered in only 35 minutes after activation.

On June 24th, 2013, the Acura’s owner contacted the Los Angeles Police Department-Mission Division to report that his vehicle was stolen. LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Acura, which was installed at Keyes Acura in Van Nuys, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, officers assigned to the LAPD-Valley Task Force picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Acura to the area of Fes Street and Lehigh Ave. Three suspects were observed hooking up the Acura to another vehicle to be towed. Police conducted a stop and took three suspects into custody. The Acura was soon returned to its very grateful owner.
