This Philadelphia, PA resident’s Monday morning was made even more manic than usual when he discovered his 2008 Toyota Tundra missing from his residence.  Thanks to his local police and the LoJack® system, his day got better quickly because his vehicle was located in only 24 minutes after activation.

On June 24th 2013, the Tundra’s owner called Philadelphia Police to report that his truck was not where he had parked it the previous evening.  The officer verified the theft and entered the Toyota’s information into the Philadelphia Police Computer System and the Pennsylvania State Police Computer. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Tundra, which was installed at Ardmore Toyota in Ardmore, PA.

A short while later, officers from the Philadelphia PD 35th District began picking up homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to N. Fairhill Street where it was observed parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Tundra was soon returned to its relieved owner.
