In this case, as in so many others, two branches of law enforcement work together, with help from the LoJack® system, and retrieve a stolen Ford Ranger in just a half hour.

The Ranger’s owner reported the theft to the California Highway Patrol in Stockton, CA.  The vehicle information was entered into the California Stolen Vehicle System as well as the national system, NCIC. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Shamrock Ford in Dublin, CA.

A short time later, officers with the Stockton Police Department and the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Department both began to receive the homing signal from the Ford on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers then located the vehicle parked and abandoned in a fenced in facility. The undamaged Ranger was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
