This Oceanside, CA resident was surprised- and not pleasantly- when he found his Nissan Altima missing from where he had parked it one Tuesday afternoon around lunch time. Luckily, neither the LoJack® system installed in his car nor his local police were out to lunch that day, so they could team up and retrieve his vehicle well before dinner!

On June 4th, 2013, the owner of a Nissan Altima contacted Oceanside Police to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence. Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Nissan, which was installed at Mossy Nissan in Oceanside, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, Oceanside PD officers picked up the homing signals from the Altima on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The LoJack computers, the officers tracked the vehicle to the parking lot at the Navy Federal Credit Union, where it was found parked and abandoned. The Nissan was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
