This Upland, California resident’s evening began in a most unpleasant way when his 2008 Scion TC was taken from his home.  Luckily, he had the LoJack® system installed upon purchase, so local law enforcement was able to recover his car in less than two hours!

On May 27th, 2013, the Scion’s owner contacted Upland Police to report that his vehicle was stolen from his residence. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Scion, which was installed at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

A short while later, deputies from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Lomita Station, picked up the homing signals from the Scion on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The deputies tracked the vehicle to a commercial area at Pacific Highway and Western Ave in Lomita.  The TC was stopped and two male suspects were arrested. The Scion’s owner was very happy when his undamaged car was returned to him.
