When your vehicle is parked in your garage, you’d like to think that it’s safe. Unfortunately, auto thieves have no respect for either you or your property and think nothing of illegally entering and stealing your car. If this ever happens to you, you’ll be glad you installed the LoJack® System to assist local police in recovering your vehicle.

On the morning of April 20th, 2013, the owner of a 2007 Acura RDX discovered that his car was stolen from his open garage in San Francisco, California. The San Francisco Police verified the crime information and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Acura of Serramonte in Colma, CA.

A short while later, Napa, CA police picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They located the RDX parked by a curb, abandoned and undamaged, and soon returned it to its grateful owner.
