Los Angeles Police Department Recovers Stolen Mitsubishi Lancer in 12 MINUTES, Assisted by the LoJack System

On March 20th, 2013, the owner of a Mitsubishi Lancer contacted the Simi Valley, California Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from the street in front of his residence in Simi Valley, CA.
The Simi Valley PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into their state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Mitsubishi, which was installed at Enterprise Car Sales in Carson, CA
Within a very short while, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department- Hollywood Division picked up the homing signal from the Mitsubishi on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicle. They located the vehicle parked and unoccupied. A short time later, the officers observed one male suspect enter the car and drive away. The officers stopped the vehicle and took the suspect into custody. The Lancer was soon returned to its owner.
