Philadelphia is known as the ‘City of Brotherly Love’- but auto thieves there don’t let that motto keep them from stealing your vehicle. Fortunately, the police in that fine city ‘love’ to track down these perpetrators with the help of the LoJack® system!

On Monday, April 8th, 2013, the owner of a Honda Accord contacted the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The assigned officer entered the Accord’s information into their crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Metro Honda in Philadelphia, PA.

A short while later, officers from the Philadelphia PD 15th District picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicle. The signal was tracked to the area of Bridge and Marlow Streets, where the Accord was observed on the nearby highway. The officers began following it until they were able to perform a safe traffic stop. The driver was placed under arrest, and the Honda was soon returned to its grateful owner.
