On August 8, 2012, the owners of 2006 Toyota Tundra contacted the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway of his residence. LAPD officers verified the theft and entered the Toyota’s information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle.

Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computer, the officers tracked and located the stolen vehicle in the area of Sinaloa Road and Bennett Street, in the City of Simi Valley. Officers conducted an investigation at the location and recovered the vehicle. Value of this recovery is $18,475.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this vehicle on September 13, 2005 at Hamer Toyota, in the City of Mission Hills, California.
