The Jersey City Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Lexus.
A short while later, detectives from Bronx District Attorney’s Office Auto Squad picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Lexus on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the detectives tracked the vehicle to the 1700 block of Weeks Avenue, in the Bronx New York. The vehicle was found unoccupied, locked and undamaged.
The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Lexus RX350 on November 3, 2007 in Prestige Lexus, Inc., in Ramsey, New Jersey.
