Acura Integra Stolen and Recovered in Hours by Aurora Police Department

In the early morning hours of February 22, 2012, while on routine patrol, an Aurora Police Department officer was notified of a stolen vehicle in his vicinity by an alert from the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in his patrol car.  When he queried the code on the PTC against the police computer databases, he was informed that the silent LoJack signals were coming from a 1998 Acura Integra reported stolen to the Aurora Police minutes earlier.

 Following the directional signals from the PTC, and armed with a description of the stolen vehicle, the officers tracked the Acura to the 2500 block of North Xanadu Street. There, they located and recovered the vehicle, undamaged except for the ignition.  It was released on-scene to a very relieved owner, who just happened to be the original owner who had the LoJack installed in his “new car” almost 14-years ago in California.
