Infiniti G37 Stolen in Home Burglary Recovered in Sacramento, Abandoned

On February 18, 2012, the owner of a 2008 Infiniti G37 was on a camping trip when he was contacted by his credit card company about possible unauthorized use of his card. The victim immediately returned home and discovered that his home had been burglarized. Along with numerous items from inside the home, his 2008 Infiniti had been stolen from the garage.
The victim reported the theft to the Sacramento Police Department, who entered the stolen vehicle’s information the California and national stolen vehicle databases. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle. Neither the owners nor law enforcement had to do anything else to activate the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery Transponder, because LoJack’s interface with law enforcement is both seamless and instantaneous.
Just over an hour later, officers from both the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol began to receive the silent LoJack signal emitting from the hidden LoJack which was installed in the vehicle in 2008 by Infiniti of Oakland. The officers tracked and located the vehicle, parked and abandoned. The vehicle was processed for fingerprints and then released back to the owner.
