On the morning of February 7, 2023, detectives from the LAPD Temple Station’s auto theft task force picked up the silent LoJack signal from a 2005 Chevrolet Blazer reported stolen just five minutes earlier to the LAPD Van Nuys Division. Following directions from the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in their patrol vehicle, the detectives tracked the Blazer to the area of Roscoe Boulevard and Community. There, they located the vehicle, parked and unoccupied. No suspects were located in the area. The vehicle was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Chevy Blazer at the owner’s request in August of 2000.
