Multiple Police Units Track Stolen Pathfinder — Recovered in 9 Minutes, 1 Arrest

On the morning of January 11, 2012, patrol officers from the Port Hueneme, Oxnard and Ventura Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signal from a stolen 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, (9 minutes after the vehicle was reported stolen) on their on board LoJack Police Tracking Computers. Following the computer’s cues, Ventura Police Department officers tracked the stolen Pathfinder to the area of Mills Road and Main Street in the City of Ventura. The officers conducted a felony traffic stop, and arrested the driver for Driving Without Owner’s Consent without incident. The suspect was in possession of the key. Detectives from Ventura Police Department are conducting the investigation.

The LoJack Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the Pathfinder at the owner’s request in November 2004.
